This is one of the best restaurants I have gone to this year. They got everything right. I loved they served lemon and cucumber with your water. The servers were knowledgeable and attentive. The vacio steak was cooked perfectly and I loved the chimichurri sauce. It was so big that I could only eat 1/2. The loaded potato was massive The restaurant was really cute with fake trees with hanging lights. I highly recommend this place
I have been to this restaurant twice, once with my husband and the second time to celebrate my son's birthday as a family. He loves steak! The steaks here are amazing! We loved the rice, there's a flan flight and my favorite of the 3 is the corn flan because it's interesting and like nothing I've had elsewhere. The service is really good, they have top notch servers. The ambiance is dim lit with beautiful decor. The front area is pretty loud because of the closeness of people, the flooring material and the high ceilings. Not the best for a conversation. The room in the back is quieter. So, it depends what you prefer. I would recommend making a reservation. The first time, we walked in, so we had to wait a bit, like 30 minutes. It was also dinner time on a Saturday I believe. I made a reservation the second time, and they seated us in a few minutes. The three of us had a blast and definitely made memories to last a lifetime. I have already recommended Cuerno to my friends and family, and we will be back soon.
Outstanding! Take two of my all time favorite foods, steak and Mexican, and put them in a fine dining setting with a creative bar and not-too-long local wine list... it was heaven. Visiting from another city, I fortunately secured my online reservation a week or so ahead for a Saturday night. It's popular and not a huge place so I wouldn't count on getting in last minute unless you want to hop on the bar. The menu isn't long but everything we tried was a hit. Stick with your strengths and do them to perfection! We came with two teenagers who ordered No Pain, which was en fuego, which was so festive to kick off the meal. We then mopped up some Papa loca, Queso fondido, and other apps before our main courses were served by the team with great coordination-- simultaneously placing multiple heavy carving boards with steaks on hot searing stones is no simple task. I loved the little extras such as fruit slices in water, salsas, herbs and other fixings. The optimal choice of meat will depend on your mood and appetite. I usually favor a ribeye but that night I went for the Australian Waygu NY Strip. Flavor and texture were amazing. The garnishes and hot stone enhanced the experience and sent me over the top. The food, service, ambiance were all superb. Bottom line, for me this was an all time best steak and I have a new favorite steakhouse!
Chris and Denzel in the lower dining room are amazing. My wife had the filet flight and I had the A5 wagyu filet. They are very consistent in always providing excellent results and experience. I recommend listening to the staff recommendations as they are very knowledgeable and well trained in pairings and asking the right questions to find out your personal preferences and matching those with the menu. We will continue to visit and recommend.
The food, service and whole vibe of the place is so comfortable in a refined way. No need to dress super fancy but anything you order will make you feel fancy. The staff make sure you have the best experience possible without being overly attentive. We've been coming for birthdays and anniversaries for years now and will keep on that tradition. My boyfriend and I are celebrating ten years together here this weekend even. MUST GET: The Papa Loca, Bone Marrow, any preparation of steak they offer.
Atmosphere, food, server....$&@%ing awesome!! When you come here, you know already that you're going to get a phenomenal steak. Period. No bad choices here. We had a party of five and between us and we had the ribeye, Japanese, American, and Australian Waygu filets, and an American Waygu El Zabuton. For the sides we had the baked potato, cauliflower, and the rice. All of it was excellent! The service was on point; not rushed and not lacking. Not that I should have to point this out, but the prices here are not for the faint of heart. You're definitely getting what you pay for. I definitely recommend this restaurant 100%.
You can spend a lot or a little and be very satisfied! The Arrachera is my absolute favorite thing to order and is only $30!! The Papa Loca is going to be all the side you need with some left to take home! The Painkiller drink is on fire, literally! Just an all around fun place for amazing meat! Update: The Arrachera dish is now $39 but still very worth it and my go-to order and suggestion to all! One suggestion I have for the restaurant is to change their plating to fit on the small tables better. There are large rectangle dishes that could be smaller ones for the food amount.
Steak was amazing, enjoy the hot grill it was served on ... removed steak and place piece on to keep warm. Service was very helpful, was here for the first time, he explain the process. The room they placed us was very tight.
This place checks all the boxes! We walked in to be greeted by a very sweet host, and the service continued at this kind, happy, inviting level until the end. The decor is KILLER with the fabricated trees combined with clean lines. We tried several of the drinks and they were all delicious. I wish we didn't drive so we could have tried more! We had the appetizer of bone marrow followed by some steaks on hot rock. My 10 oz. was too much (I think it was more like 12 - 14 oz!) and Sean got the gold medal winner ribeye. We ended with some of the best cheesecake I ever ate. Next time we are in Tacoma we will most definitely be back!
Reservations are highly recommended. This is not a chain resturant, you are getting high-quality meat and high-quality service, our waiter was very familiar with the menu and explained everything to us, prices are not cheap by any means but they are reasonable for the qualitynof the food. Party of 4 we sharged the papa loco (loaded baked potato) and brocollini, had the guacamole and chips for appetizer. Then the main course Vacio, and American Wagyu cross served on a hot stone. Everything was delicious, food came fast, and the service was spot on. Bill for 4 with dinner, appetizers, side, a couple of adult beverages, desserts, and tip came in just a little less than $600. Delicious meal and exceptional service, highly recommended for your carnivorous adventures.
